Geogrids

As a solutions provider, Reed & Graham provides many different geogrid products to solve construction problems.

Tensar manufactures biaxial grids which are used to help stabilize/reinforce soft soil.  BX1100 and BX1200 are manufactured from polypropylene sheets, which are punched and then stretched to orient the molecules, resulting in a very uniform product in open area and strength properties.  These biaxial grids are also used for reinforcing on some low modular block-faced retaining walls.

Tensar Earth Technologies, Inc.

High-strength uniaxial geogrids using polyester fibers, woven into a specific pattern to provide the long term design strength (LTDS) required for each specific application.

Advantages of Polyester Geogrids:
1.      Consistent long-term physical properties
2.      Ability to reinforce any soil type
3.      Low creep under constant load
4.      High modulus
5.      Easy to install
6.      High pull out resistance
7.      Excellent survivability to construction stresses
8.      Excellent soil-to-soil and aggregate-to-aggregate contact through large grid openings.

Applications:
Retaining walls, with timber, modular block, or fabric faced.
            Steep embankments
            Building foundations
            Landslide repairs
            Extremely soft soil projects

Miragrid XT geogrids are high strength, high tenacity, high molecular weight polyester geogrids in a full range of tensile strengths to meet the most demanding applications of soil reinforcement. Miragrid XT geogrids are woven and then coated with a polymer coating to provide dimensional stability.
